The Marker Duke PT 13 is a hybrid binding that uniquely combines the downhill performance and release function of normal alpine bindings with pin-technology for strong uphill performance. The toe part of the binding can be removed (and put in the backpack) when going uphill saving 300 g per foot. At the top of the mountain, the toe part is attached again, and the binding transforms into a traditional alpine binding which provides great power transmission and safety skiing downhill.
