• 2-Zone-Lacing – Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used in the CADIN II GTX MID, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.
• As a result, the tongue is located where it should be – without any slippage or pressure points: This is what X-LACING® technology of the CADIN II GTX MID is all about. This special lacing system secures the tongue both vertically and horizontally. Because the lacing system gains independence from the height of the instep, the design is perfect for any type of foot. This technology ensures that the pressure of the laces is transferred not just to the hooks but to the tongue as well.
• Feet can roll more effectively if the upper of a hiking boot can be easily bent. Such a feature saves energy when the wearer climbs hills and it provides real comfort in the process. For this reason, LOWA has integrated a flexible zone and a lace loop into this area for the CADIN II GTX MID. This involves repositioning the boot’s eyelets and using a flexible lace hook that improves heel comfort and facilitates bending.
• The performance sole VIBRAM® ALP TRAC® NUMEN is designed especially for alpine conditions. The large “climbing zone” on the sole tip enables wearers to move precisely as they manoeuvre their way up sheer rock faces. The stud arrangement ensures that any dirt that accumulates in the sole of the footwear will be shaken loose while the boot wearer is walking.
