LOWA’s new men's hiking boot model can almost be described as being cut from the same cloth. Its upper is made of a piece of nubuck leather in closed lacing system. In addition to the slip-free C4 tongue, the X-LACING system and waterproof GORE-TEX lining also ensure all-round comfort. These features not only keep your feet dry on soggy and cold days but also guarantee an ideal climate inside the shoe itself. The real highlight, however, is the newly developed VIBRAM APPTRAIL DIVO sole, which consists of two PU layers with different degrees of hardness. The softer section below the heel and in the ball area provides the cushioning you need. The harder section delivers additional stability. The sole is rounded out in the truest sense of the word by the slightly curved shape in the forefoot area, which improves rolling properties and ensures comfortable walkability.

• 2-Zone-Lacing – Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used in the RANGER GTX, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.
• As a result, the tongue is located where it should be – without any slippage or pressure points: This is what X-LACING technology of the RANGER GTX is all about. This special lacing system secures the tongue both vertically and horizontally. Because the lacing system gains independence from the height of the instep, the design is perfect for any type of foot. This technology ensures that the pressure of the laces is transferred not just to the hooks but to the tongue as well.
• C4-Tongue – The specially designed tongue of the RANGER GTX substantially enhances comfort. The tongue includes extra padding for the outer portion of the foot, and the upper end of it is especially soft. This asymmetric padding provides effectively coordinated support to many areas of the foot. To take into account the foot’s anatomy, the recesses for the ankle area have also been placed higher on the inside than on the outside, and a flexible bending insert has been integrated into the inner side by the foot.
