The lining may not be as thick as it would be in a classic winter shoe. But it certainly provides more warmth than a functional mountaineering boot will do: The new winter version of the classic RENEGADE may just be the most functional way to take on the challenging conditions of the year’s transitional seasons. A touch of tweed material on the collar adds a fashionable accent to the robust nubuck leather. One really special feature defines these shoes most of all: their VIBRAM® EVO ICETREK® outsole. It employs the proven combination of multifunctional tread design and an optimal rubber compound. The ICETREK® compound was developed to handle the low and medium temperatures of winter and to improve grip on very cold, icy or snow-covered terrain. The entire package is rounded out by an everyday look with classic casual colours.
• GORE-TEX® – Guaranteed weather protection, even in pouring rain and heavy snow: The RENEGADE WARM GTX MID is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative technology delivers optimal waterproof protection and breathability.
• DOUBLE INJECTION - To provide effective cushioning and improved comfort, the sole of the RENEGADE WARM GTX MID is bonded to the upper in a technically demanding injection process. The upper boot is placed into a specially designed mould. Various layers of PU foam padding are then poured into it. In the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.
• SUPPORT FRAME - With the LOWA-MONOWRAP® frame, the midsole of the RENEGADE WARM GTX MID provides the very best comfort. This three-dimensional midsole design was developed by LOWA in 1995. The frame comfortably cradles the foot and support it when the shoe wearer ventures across uneven surfaces. The sole design is slightly raised for shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME.
• 2-Zone-Lacing – Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used in the RENEGADE WARM GTX MID, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.
• The RENEGADE WARM GTX MID comes equipped with a Vibram® sole. The Italian sole manufacturer has been one of the leading brands of high-quality soles for many years.
